Privacy Policy
Effective October 9, 2026
This policy describes privacy practices for the *Craft launcher and the PhotoCraft, VectorCraft, PDFCraft and LightCraft browser applications (collectively, the “Apps”). The Apps are designed to do their work in your browser. The *Craft integration layer does not add a cloud document service, analytics, advertising or behavioral tracking.
1. Files you open and create
The launcher does not add server-side upload or synchronization of your documents, images or project files. Files you choose are handled by application code running in your browser unless an individual feature clearly indicates otherwise.
*Craft does not claim ownership of your files or use their contents for advertising or profiling.
2. Data stored on your device
LightCraft stores its catalog, imported photos and thumbnails in this browser using the Origin Private File System or IndexedDB. Keep your original photos separately and use File → Back Up Library to save a portable backup. Clearing site data or changing browsers or domains does not carry that library with you.
The Apps may use browser features such as local storage, IndexedDB, cache storage and service workers to remember settings, cache application code or preserve application state. This data stays associated with your browser profile unless you export or otherwise move it.
You can remove locally stored data using your browser’s site-data controls. Clearing it may delete unsaved state, preferences or locally retained work.
3. Information handled by the host
Like any website, the hosting infrastructure receives ordinary request information needed to deliver the Apps. Depending on the host and configuration, this can include your IP address, browser and device information, requested URLs, timestamps, security information and diagnostic logs.
If access controls or authentication are enabled by the host, the host may also process the account, authentication and session information needed to grant access. Those practices are governed by the hosting provider’s terms and privacy notices.
4. Public-domain launcher artwork
The launcher displays three decorative public-domain images hosted by Wikimedia Commons. Image requests are made without sending the *Craft page as the HTTP referrer. Wikimedia still receives normal network information such as your IP address and browser request headers when those images load.
The image titles, creators, public-domain status and source links are listed in the Credits & licenses dialog.
5. No advertising or sale of personal information
The *Craft integration layer does not use advertising trackers, cross-site behavioral tracking, analytics beacons or data-broker services, and does not sell personal information.
6. Third-party links
The Credits & licenses dialog includes links to license, attribution and source materials. A third party receives information from your browser only when you choose to visit one of those external links, except for the decorative Wikimedia image requests described above.
7. Security and sensitive files
Browser-based processing reduces the need to transmit file contents to a server, but it does not make a device or browser automatically secure. Other software, browser extensions, shared profiles, backups or device compromise may expose locally stored information.
Use appropriate safeguards for confidential or regulated material. The Apps do not provide a contractual confidentiality commitment, dedicated encrypted vault or regulated-data compliance service.
8. Your choices
- Do not open a file in the Apps if you do not want it processed in the browser.
- Use browser controls to clear local site data and cached application files.
- Use private-browsing or a dedicated browser profile when you want less persistent local state, subject to your browser’s behavior.
- Do not follow external source or attribution links if you do not want to contact those third-party sites.
9. Children
The Apps are general-purpose creative tools and are not directed to children under 13. *Craft does not knowingly operate a child-profile or advertising system.
10. Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated as the Apps, hosting configuration or data practices change. The effective date above identifies the current version.
